The warming trend continues Saturday, with highs ranging from 84 to 89 degrees under mostly sunny skies.
The peak of the heat arrives Sunday, when temperatures could reach as high as 92 degrees across the Ozarks, including Springfield, Branson, and Joplin. Overnight lows will remain mild through the weekend, generally in the 50s to low 60s, offering limited cooling relief.
Dry conditions will dominate through Sunday, increasing fire danger across rural areas and open fields. Residents are urged to avoid outdoor burning and stay hydrated during the afternoon heat.
A noticeable cooldown arrives Monday, with highs dropping into the upper 50s to mid-60s as a cooler air mass moves in.
