Milwaukee, WI – Residents in southern Wisconsin should prepare for evening thunderstorms and the possibility of small hail, particularly in far southwestern areas. The National Weather Service (NWS) in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a weather advisory for tonight, warning of weak thunderstorms moving across the region. While severe weather is not expected, motorists and residents should take precautions for hail and localized heavy rainfall, particularly if traveling on I-94 and other major roadways.

According to the NWS, storms are likely to develop after sunset, with rain chances increasing as clouds move in this afternoon. The storms are expected to be weak, but some areas, especially in the southwestern part of the state, may see small hail. Rainfall totals are predicted between a quarter and half an inch in some areas.

Friday will bring improving conditions with skies clearing through mid-morning. Breezy conditions are expected in the afternoon, with temperatures reaching the high 50s. Overnight lows will drop into the low 40s, providing cool relief after a stormy night.

Looking ahead, Saturday is forecast to be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-50s and light winds. The weekend will remain clear and dry, making it ideal for outdoor activities or travel across the region.
