Las Vegas, NV — Southern Nevada is gearing up for a pleasant stretch of weather this weekend, with mild temperatures and abundant sunshine expected across recreation areas from Friday through Sunday. The National Weather Service in Las Vegas says outdoor enthusiasts should find ideal conditions for hiking, sightseeing, and lake activities.

Most locations across the region will see sunny skies Friday and Saturday, with just a slight increase in cloud cover by Sunday. Temperatures will vary significantly by elevation: high-elevation locations such as Mt. Charleston will top out in the low 60s Friday before cooling into the upper 50s, while desert destinations like Death Valley and Lake Mead will warm into the mid to upper 70s.

Popular weekend spots show consistently pleasant weather:
Red Rock Canyon: Highs in the upper 60s to low 70s
Valley of Fire: Mid- to upper 70s Friday and Saturday
Lake Mohave: Mid-70s through the weekend
Cathedral Gorge: Mid-70s Friday and Saturday, cooling slightly Sunday
Dumont Dunes: Highs in the upper 50s to around 60

Forecasters say the pattern supports a great opportunity for outdoor plans, especially Friday and Saturday before some clouds develop late in the weekend. Winds are expected to remain light, and no precipitation is forecast.

Temperatures will generally range from the upper 50s in higher elevations to the upper 70s in the warmest areas, creating comfortable conditions across much of southern Nevada.
