Oswego, Illinois — On Friday, July 18, an Oswego man was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm during a traffic stop.
Marcus B. McDougle, 44, was stopped for speeding at approximately 9:49 a.m. He was reportedly traveling 61-mph in a 30-mph zone. During the traffic stop, it was learned that McDougle was wanted on a warrant out of Kendall County. A firearm was also located in his possession. McDougle was promptly arrested and taken into custody. He was then transported to the Oswego Police Department.
The Kendall County State’s Attorney’s Office has approved a felony charge against McDougle for unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He was also charged for speeding at least 26-mph over the speed limit and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. McDougle was transported to the Kendall County Jail for pre-trial after being booked and processed at the Oswego Police Department. His pending court date is August 19, 2025.
