Oswego, IL – One man is dead and another injured after an early morning stabbing Wednesday at a Chick-fil-A restaurant on Route 34 in Oswego, according to police.

Authorities said the incident happened around 5 a.m., when officers responded to reports of a stabbing and found a suspect being restrained by a victim at the scene. Officers took the adult male offender into custody within minutes of arrival.

According to the Oswego Police Department, surveillance footage shows the suspect allegedly broke in through a back door around 3:10 a.m. and fatally attacked a delivery driver inside the restaurant. A maintenance worker outside was later attacked around 4:56 a.m. but, along with a witness, managed to subdue the suspect until officers arrived.
