Orland Park, Ill. — The Village of Orland Park announced in a press release on July 2 that it would be hosting its Veterans Golf Classic. Registration is open for the annual event happening on Tuesday, August 28.

The event is the primary fundraiser each year for the Orland Park Veterans Commission. It honors and benefits veterans by supporting local veterans organizations and services.

“The Village of Orland Park Mayor’s Golf Outing is deeply rooted tradition, and as we gather this year to benefit Orland Park area veterans at the Orland Park Veterans Golf Classic, I am filled with a profound sense of pride and gratitude,” Mayor Jim Dodge said in the press release.

The event is limited to 144 golfers on a first-come, first-served basis. The $175 golf and dinner package includes 18 holes of golf, on-course games (excluding the par-3 holes), a shared golf cart, continental breakfast, on-course lunch and beverages, a pre-dinner open bar, dinner and a golfer’s gift. Golf-only packages are available for $145, which includes everything but the pre-dinner open bar and dinner. Dinner-only tickets are also available for $50 for the pre-dinner bar and dinner. An on-course games package can also be added for $50 with four betting hope games. Registration for this event closes on August 22.

“This is not just an opportunity for friendly competition and camaraderie,” Dodge said, “it is a celebration of the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to the service of our country. As a veteran myself, I am honored to host this event and contribute to initiatives that benefit our veterans’ services.”
