Orland Park, Illinois — The Village of Orland Park shared that several companies will be bringing fiber optic Internet, mobile and TV services to Orland Park. The companies include AT&T, Abrovenet and, now, Astound.

Orland Park shared today that the telecommunications provider Astound received State authorization for a $34 million fiber optic network construction project. The Village reminded residents that while installation is underway, residents are not required to connect to the service.

The Village said that Astound’s installation work will be exclusively in utility easements and public rights-of-ways or adjacent to private property. Astound and subcontractors may use private property to access easements and rights-of-ways, as allowed by State law. Where this is the case, doorhangers, flags and signs will be posted to notify residents.

Specific locations where these installations will occur through Astound, AT&T or Abrovenet can be found on the Village website.
