Orland Park, Ill. — The Village of Orland Park notified drivers of a road closure on Wheeler Drive for sewer installation work this week.
The road closure begins today, July 14, and is expected to last through Thursday, July 17. The roadwork is to install a new large box culvert storm sewer in the Catalina neighborhood. A contractor will be starting the work today by Veterans Park. Only part of Wheeler Drive will be closed.
After that, work crews will move down Wheeler toward Hemlock Lane by Thursday. Drivers will need to take alternate routes as this will require a full road closure. The detour will take drivers south along Wheeler Drive toward Catalina Drive. Orland Park asked drivers to plan accordingly and follow detour and closure signage.
