Orland Park, IL – Families across the Chicago Southland can officially ring in the season as Orland Park hosts its annual Christmas Parade, Tree Lighting and Winter WondORLAND Festival on Sunday, Nov. 30 at the Orland Park Village Center from 4 to 7 p.m.

The celebration opens at 4 p.m. with the Christmas parade traveling along Ravinia Avenue from 151st Street to Village Hall. According to village officials, more than 50 local businesses and organizations will participate with decorated floats, marching groups and music, including the Carl Sandburg High School Marching Eagles. Santa Claus will make his annual grand arrival as part of the procession.

Mayor Jim Dodge said the event highlights the community’s spirit of togetherness during the holidays, calling it “a reminder of the joy, generosity and togetherness that define Orland Park.”

Around 5 p.m., the Carl Sandburg High School Chamber Singers will lead traditional carols before the community countdown to the official lighting of the Village Christmas Tree in the Village Circle. The illumination will also activate the surrounding Village Green’s holiday displays and the community trees decorated by local families and organizations.

Following the tree lighting, visitors can explore the Winter WondORLAND Festival. Outdoor attractions include live reindeer, meet-and-greets with Anna and Elsa, holiday bounce houses, fire pits, refreshments, and photo spots throughout the Enchanted Village Green.

Inside Village Hall, families can take photos with Santa next to a 20-foot Christmas tree and train set. Each child will receive a free plush giveaway while supplies last. Additional indoor activities at the Civic Center include performances, crafts, storytelling, vendor treats and a winter-themed play area featuring Olaf.

Parking details and additional information are available at orlandpark.org/christmasfest or by calling 708-403-5000.
