Orland Hills, IL – Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two vehicles allegedly connected to a string of car burglaries that occurred early Tuesday morning in the southwest suburbs.

According to the Orland Hills Police Department, investigators are searching for video footage of a gray sedan traveling with a black Chevrolet Camaro with white lettering across its windshield. Both vehicles reportedly had dark tinted windows. The cars were seen traveling eastbound and then westbound near the 8900 block of 167th Street and continuing toward La Grange between 1:45 a.m. and 2:15 a.m. on Tuesday.

Authorities said the vehicles may be tied to car burglaries in the area and are asking residents and businesses with security cameras along the route to review their footage from that timeframe. Anyone with video evidence is urged to send it to the department’s investigations unit at investigations@orlandhillspolice.org and include contact information and an address in the email. Tipsters can also call the Investigations Division directly at 708-789-1727.

Police did not disclose the number of vehicles burglarized or what was taken but said the case remains under active investigation. Officials added that resident cooperation is critical in helping to identify suspects and prevent additional crimes.

Orland Hills police encourage residents to secure their vehicles, remove valuables, and report suspicious activity immediately. Updates on the investigation are expected as more information becomes available.
