Oregon Winter Weather Alert: Snow and High Winds Impact Travel Through Tuesday

Pendleton, OR – A winter weather advisory remains in effect for parts of Oregon as snow and gusty winds create hazardous travel conditions.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton, the East Slopes of the Oregon Cascades, including Sunriver, Camp Sherman, La Pine, and Sisters, will see an additional 3 to 5 inches of snow through 10 p.m. Sunday. Winds may gust up to 35 mph, causing blowing snow and slippery roads.

Further east, the Ochoco-John Day Highlands, including Brothers, Seneca, Prairie City, and Paulina, will experience snow accumulations between 2 and 5 inches from 2 a.m. Monday through 4 a.m. Tuesday. Moderate to heavy snowfall and low visibility will create difficult driving conditions.
