Portland, OR – A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for much of northwest Oregon, with freezing rain, snow, and strong winds expected from early Thursday through Friday morning.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Portland, the warning takes effect at 4 a.m. Thursday and lasts until 10 a.m. Friday for the Portland Metro, Vancouver Metro, and Outer Southeast Portland areas, while the North Oregon Coast Range will see hazardous conditions starting at 10 a.m. Thursday.
Expected Impacts:
• Ice Accumulations: Up to two-tenths of an inch, creating dangerous travel conditions.
• Snowfall: Up to two inches in higher elevations, with lighter accumulations in the valleys.
• Wind Gusts: Reaching 40-45 mph, increasing the risk of downed trees and power outages.

• Portland Metro, Vancouver Metro, and surrounding suburbs
• North Oregon Coast Range, including Vernonia, Wilson River Summit, and Glenwood
• Outer Southeast Portland Metro, including Sandy, Estacada, and Boring
