La Pine, Ore. – Residents in parts of Deschutes County are being told to leave immediately as wildfire activity intensifies near La Pine, triggering Level 3 evacuation orders that could cut off access within minutes.

According to the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office, a Level 3 “GO NOW” notice is in effect for Timber Lane Loop, Riverview Drive, Bridge Drive, and homes along the Little Deschutes River. The evacuation zone is bounded by Burgess Road to the south, Huntington Road to the east, Forest Road to the west, and areas near Elk Court and Deer Run Lane to the north.

Officials warn emergency services may not be available for those who delay. Residents are urged to leave immediately without gathering belongings, as fire conditions can shift rapidly and block escape routes.

Nearby neighborhoods north of Burgess Road, east of Huntington Road, and west of Highway 97 remain under Level 1 “Be Ready” status. This includes Cagle Road, Railroad Street, Skidgel Road, Antler Lane, Pine Drive, and several surrounding streets. Residents there should prepare for possible rapid evacuation, especially those with pets, livestock, or mobility concerns.

An evacuation center is now open at the La Pine Activity Center on Victory Way for displaced residents.

Officials say conditions remain volatile, and additional evacuation levels could expand with little notice.
