Eugene, OR – A stretch of mild, sunny weather is setting in across western Oregon, with Eugene enjoying unseasonably warm days and clear nights through Tuesday.
According to the National Weather Service, Eugene will see daytime highs in the upper 60s to low 70s beginning Thursday and continuing into early next week. Thursday’s high is expected to reach 70°F, with Friday peaking near 72°F under sunny skies. Weekend temperatures will dip slightly, with highs in the low 60s, but dry and mostly sunny conditions will persist.
Overnight lows will hover in the upper 30s to low 40s, with calm to light winds from the north around 5 to 9 mph during the day and calming in the evenings. This extended dry period contrasts with typical mid-April patterns, which often include intermittent rain and cooler daytime highs.
Residents are advised to take advantage of the dry spell for outdoor activities, yard work, or travel. However, local fire officials urge caution with outdoor burning due to low humidity and dry vegetation.
The pleasant weather is forecast to continue through Tuesday, with highs again reaching the mid-60s. No major weather disturbances are expected during this period, providing stable conditions across Lane County and surrounding areas.
