Portland, Ore. – Morning clouds will give way to a long stretch of sunshine across Portland this week, with temperatures steadily climbing into the upper 80s by Thursday and Friday.

According to the National Weather Service, today’s high will reach near 78 under partly sunny skies before conditions clear tonight. By Monday, skies will brighten as light winds shift from the northwest to the southwest, bringing daytime highs in the upper 70s.

The warm-up intensifies Tuesday through Thursday, with highs around 81 early in the week before pushing into the mid-80s by Thursday afternoon. Clear nights will cool into the upper 50s, offering some relief from daytime warmth. Drivers may want to prepare for early morning fog pockets in the valleys, though overall travel conditions remain favorable.

Outdoor plans will be in good shape for most of the week, but health officials remind residents to stay hydrated and limit afternoon sun exposure as temperatures climb toward the 90s by Friday.

This stretch of dry, stable weather is expected to continue into the weekend, with no rain in sight.
