Pendleton, OR – After a cold and snowy February, Oregon is set for a much warmer start to March, with temperatures rising steadily into the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Pendleton, high temperatures will remain in the 40s and low 50s through Thursday due to a frontal passage. However, by Friday and into the weekend, a warming trend will bring highs into the mid-to-upper 50s, with some areas potentially reaching the 60s.

Cities such as Bend, Hermiston, and Redmond are forecasted to hit the mid-50s by Saturday, while Pendleton and Walla Walla could see highs reaching 61°F. Yakima is expected to warm up as well, with temperatures climbing to 57°F by the end of the week.

The NWS advises residents to enjoy the improved conditions as spring approaches. For up-to-date forecasts and location-specific temperatures, visit weather.gov/forecastpoints.
