MEDFORD, Ore. – Southern Oregon’s streak of crisp, sunny fall days will continue into Saturday before clouds and light rain return by Sunday morning. The National Weather Service says Medford will enjoy another warm, dry day Saturday with highs near 76°F, but a weak front moving in from the Pacific will bring showers to the Rogue Valley late Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service in Medford, rain chances increase to 30 percent by early Sunday, especially along the I-5 corridor from Ashland to Grants Pass. Any rainfall should remain light, less than a quarter inch, but drivers heading north on I-5 or toward the Applegate Valley should expect slick roads and slower travel during the late morning.

Saturday looks ideal for outdoor plans — leaf-peeping drives, fall markets, and pumpkin patch visits — with calm winds and plenty of sun. Sunday’s cooler trend will signal the region’s gradual shift toward wetter fall conditions, though temperatures will stay mild with daytime highs in the mid-60s.

After Sunday’s system passes, sunshine quickly returns Monday and Tuesday, offering a dry start to the new week before another round of light rain becomes possible midweek.

Five-Day Forecast for Medford, Oregon:

  • Friday: Mostly sunny, high near 72°F.
  • Saturday: Sunny, high 76°F.
  • Sunday: 30% chance of rain, high 65°F.
  • Monday: Sunny, high 70°F.
  • Tuesday: Mostly sunny, high near 68°F.
