Medford is expected to reach around 75°F today, with mostly sunny skies dominating the Rogue Valley. The warming continues Tuesday with highs near 77°F, followed by around 78°F Wednesday as high pressure strengthens over the western United States.
Nearby communities including Ashland, Central Point, and Jacksonville will see similar conditions. Calm winds and bright sunshine will allow temperatures to rise quickly during the afternoon hours.
Drivers traveling along Interstate 5 and Highway 62 will encounter excellent visibility and dry pavement through the middle of the week. Early mornings may still feel crisp, but sunshine will quickly warm outdoor conditions by late morning.
Meteorologists say the broader weather pattern across the West is shifting warmer. A strengthening ridge of high pressure is helping boost temperatures across California, Nevada, and southern Oregon.
