Portland, OR – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the Oregon and Washington Cascades until 4 AM PST Thursday, with snow accumulation of up to 8 inches at higher elevations.
According to the National Weather Service in Portland, the advisory affects areas including Santiam Pass, Government Camp, Willamette Pass, and Mount St. Helens. Snow showers will continue, making roads, bridges, and overpasses slick and hazardous.
For travelers in the Cascade foothills and Columbia River Gorge, snowfall between 1 to 3 inches is expected at elevations above 500 feet. Some areas, including Hood River Valley and the Central Gorge, may see light accumulations through 10 PM Wednesday.
