Medford, OR – A series of Pacific storm systems are set to impact southern Oregon through the week, bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and hazardous surf conditions, according to the National Weather Service in Medford.

The first wave of active weather moves in late Monday, November 3, with stronger systems arriving Tuesday through Friday. Meteorologists say the most powerful front will hit between late Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing moderate to heavy rainfall and strong southerly winds along the coast, across the Shasta Valley, and east of the Cascades.

According to the weather timeline, snow levels will remain high, well above mountain passes, meaning most precipitation will fall as rain. Coastal residents are being warned of high surf and dangerous beach conditions, especially during King Tides, which are expected to peak midweek.

A third system arrives Thursday into Friday, likely bringing additional rainfall and gusty winds before conditions gradually ease by the weekend. NWS Medford cautioned that King Tides combined with strong surf could create coastal flooding risks and hazardous waves.

Travelers and residents across southwest Oregon are urged to stay alert for changing conditions and potential weather advisories throughout the week.
