Pendleton, OR – Hazardous winter weather continues in eastern Oregon as freezing rain and dense fog create dangerous travel conditions through Wednesday morning.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until noon Wednesday, with mixed precipitation expected. Up to an inch of snow and ice accumulation could make roads and sidewalks slick, particularly on bridges and overpasses. A Dense Fog Advisory is also in place until 8 a.m. Wednesday, with visibility dropping to a quarter mile in some areas.
Drivers should slow down, use headlights, and leave extra space between vehicles. Pedestrians should take caution on sidewalks and stairs, which may be icy.
