Oregon – Damp morning air hangs over the Willamette Valley as clouds thicken above Eugene. Roads glisten from early moisture while cold air lingers close to the ground.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, a passing disturbance is bringing a 40 percent chance of showers today across Lane County. Snow levels will start near 1,600 feet, well above Eugene’s valley floor, keeping most precipitation as rain.
Temperatures reach around 49°F this afternoon with partial clearing possible between showers. Winds remain light from the northwest, keeping conditions cool but manageable for commuters along Interstate 5 and Highway 126.
Clouds thicken again tonight as another wave of moisture approaches. Temperatures dip near 33°F, allowing rain to briefly mix with snow showers before sunrise. However, little to no accumulation is expected in the city.
Tuesday brings a 50 percent chance of rain, with occasional rain–snow mixing possible during the morning hours. Temperatures rise toward 50°F as the day progresses, turning most precipitation to rain.
Meteorologists are closely tracking a stronger Pacific system arriving midweek. Rain becomes widespread Wednesday with an 80 percent chance of steady rainfall across Eugene and much of the Willamette Valley.
Persistent rain continues into Thursday, keeping skies gray and roads wet through the region.
Travelers heading toward the Cascades for spring break should prepare for winter conditions at higher elevations where heavier snow remains likely.
