Portland, OR – Several rivers across northwest Oregon and southwest Washington are under Flood Warnings tonight as heavy rain continues to push waterways above flood stage, according to the National Weather Service in Portland.

In Wahkiakum County, WA, the Grays River near Rosburg is experiencing major flooding, with water levels peaking near 33 feet Monday evening. Floodwaters are inundating lowland areas and roads near Highway 4, including Covered Bridge Road, Altoona Piller Rock Road, and Satterlund Road. Several roads and low-lying homes are threatened, and water levels are expected to remain elevated until Thursday evening.

Farther south, the Nehalem River near Foss in Tillamook and Clatsop Counties is forecast to rise above flood stage late Monday night, cresting near 17.7 feet by Tuesday morning. Flooding is expected along farmland and low-lying areas downstream to Nehalem, with street flooding in the town of Nehalem possible during high tide.

The Siletz River at Siletz in Lincoln County is also projected to reach minor flood stage Tuesday morning, cresting around 17.6 feet before receding by Tuesday night. Forecasters warn of flooded pastures, low-lying roads, and potential impacts to small housing areas near milepost 8 downstream from Mack Landing.

Residents along these rivers are urged to stay alert, avoid flooded areas, and never drive through standing water. Updated forecasts are available at weather.gov/portland.
