Oregon State Police K-9 Millie Helps Seize 2 Kilos of Fentanyl on I-5

Linn County, OR – A routine traffic stop on Interstate 5 led to a major fentanyl seizure in Linn County last week, according to the Oregon State Police (OSP).

The stop occurred on October 30, 2025, near milepost 216, when an OSP trooper and K-9 Millie pulled over a vehicle for a traffic violation. During the encounter, Millie alerted to the scent of controlled substances, prompting a search of the vehicle.

Officers discovered a hidden compartment containing approximately two kilograms of fentanyl powder, a handgun, and a large amount of cash. The narcotics and firearm were seized as evidence.

Three individuals were taken into custody and now face drug-related charges. The case has been referred to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for further investigation due to the quantity of fentanyl recovered.

The Oregon State Police praised the work of their K-9 Unit, highlighting its crucial role in disrupting illegal narcotics trafficking along Oregon’s highways.
