Eugene, OR – A wet start to the first full week of March will bring rain and showers across Eugene and the Willamette Valley. While temperatures remain mild, residents should prepare for damp conditions through midweek before partial clearing later in the week.

According to the National Weather Service, showers will persist Monday, with a high near 51°F. Winds will remain calm but shift westward at 5 mph in the afternoon. Rain chances will gradually decrease Monday night, with lows around 38°F.

Tuesday brings another round of rain, especially after 10 a.m., with an 80% chance of precipitation. Highs will stay near 51°F, while Tuesday night will see lingering showers, tapering off before midnight. Lows will dip to 39°F.

By Wednesday, scattered showers remain possible, with highs reaching 52°F. However, drier conditions will begin to settle in Wednesday night as temperatures drop to 37°F.

A gradual warming trend starts Thursday, with highs reaching 51°F and partly sunny skies expected by the afternoon. Friday looks even better, with mostly sunny skies and a high of 54°F.

Drivers should remain cautious during wet conditions, particularly on I-5 and local roads, as slick surfaces may lead to slower commutes. Those planning outdoor activities may want to wait until late in the week when drier weather is expected.
