Eugene, Oregon – Rain returns to western Oregon Thursday night, with Eugene bracing for several consecutive days of showers that could stretch through Sunday afternoon.

According to the National Weather Service in Portland, a 40% chance of rain begins after 11 p.m. Thursday in Eugene, increasing to 60% by Friday. Showers are expected to persist into the weekend, with another 50% chance of precipitation Saturday. Overnight lows will remain in the mid-40s, while daytime highs range from 57°F to 61°F.

Drivers should be alert for slick roads—especially during the morning and evening hours—on routes like I-5 and OR-126. Outdoor activities and weekend travel plans could be disrupted. The heaviest rainfall is expected Friday, though total accumulation should remain below one-tenth of an inch per day.

Residents are encouraged to check windshield wipers, monitor weather alerts, and allow extra commute time. While no flood concerns are anticipated, consistent moisture may impact visibility and traffic flow.

Rain chances taper off slightly by Sunday night, but cooler temperatures and cloudy skies will likely persist into early next week. Additional updates or advisories may be issued as conditions develop.
