Oregon Police Seek Cell Phone Video of Shooting at Josephine County Party

JOSEPHINE COUNTY, Ore. – Oregon State Police are asking witnesses of a recent shooting at a Josephine County party to share any cell phone footage of the incident.

Around 2 a.m. on Oct. 26, officers responded to reports of gunshots at a large party in rural Josephine County. An adult male was privately driven to a nearby hospital with gunshot wounds to the abdomen. Medical staff treated him for non-life-threatening injuries.

According to Oregon State Police, many partygoers were underage and intoxicated. Officers identified all individuals involved in the altercation, each of whom is over 18. Following the shooting, some attendees fled, causing two rollover vehicle accidents that resulted in minor injuries.

Investigators believe several videos of the incident exist and are urging anyone with relevant footage to come forward. Individuals with information can contact Oregon State Police’s Southern Command Center at 800-442-2068 or dial *677 on a mobile device, referencing case number SP24-350006.

Law enforcement does not believe there is an ongoing threat to public safety. The investigation is active, and police have withheld the names of those involved.
