Pendleton, OR – A prolonged stretch of summer heat will grip much of Oregon through the weekend, with highs in the 90s expected daily in Pendleton, Medford, and Eugene.

According to the National Weather Service, Pendleton is set to hit 93°F Tuesday, with winds reaching 15 mph and gusts up to 25 mph by Wednesday. Medford will climb steadily to 95°F by Saturday, with calm conditions giving way to afternoon breezes. In Eugene, highs will hover near 85°F before a slight dip to the upper 70s Thursday, rebounding to the upper 80s Sunday and Monday.

The heat comes with limited overnight relief. Lows across the region will remain in the 50s to low 60s, keeping conditions warm for outdoor activities but increasing heat-related fatigue risk.

Drivers and outdoor workers should stay hydrated, avoid peak-hour sun, and monitor for wildfire alerts as winds pick up midweek—especially in Eastern Oregon. Local agencies have not issued formal advisories yet, but conditions resemble similar June heatwaves that have triggered Red Flag Warnings in recent years.

Hot, dry weather will persist through at least Monday, with potential updates expected later this week if winds intensify or fire conditions worsen.
