Pendleton, Ore. – High winds are expected to sweep across large portions of eastern Oregon and southeastern Washington on Saturday, with gusts up to 55 mph threatening travel safety and power stability in multiple communities.
According to the National Weather Service in Pendleton and Spokane, wind advisories will be in effect across the Columbia River Gorge, Simcoe Highlands, Blue Mountain foothills, and Lower Columbia Basin from late morning through 11 p.m. PDT Saturday. The strongest gusts are expected between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m., with sustained winds ranging from 25 to 35 mph.
Communities including The Dalles, Tri-Cities, Pendleton, Hermiston, Lewiston, and Moses Lake are all under advisory.
