Orangeburg, SC – Authorities have announced three additional arrests in connection with the fatal November 17 shooting on Mingo Street in Orangeburg.

According to Orangeburg County Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, 18-year-old Anthony Fersner, 19-year-old Travon Mack, and 17-year-old Kamari Williams have been taken into custody on charges of murder. A reward offered by the U.S. Marshals Service reportedly played a key role in the arrests.

“A reward from the US Marshals Service rooted out one subject and made someone’s Christmas a lot merrier,” Sheriff Ravenell said. “Another felt the pressure of my deputies not far behind him, resulting in that subject turning himself in.”

Fersner and Williams were arrested Monday after deputies received a tip, while Mack later turned himself in.

Two other suspects — 18-year-olds Derron Holloway and Jaden Ferguson, both from Orangeburg — had previously been charged with murder in the same case.

The charges stem from a shooting around 5:30 p.m. on November 17, when a 21-year-old man was struck by gunfire outside a Mingo Street residence. The victim later died from his injuries.

Sheriff Ravenell praised the cooperation between local deputies, the U.S. Marshals Service, and community members who provided crucial information.

“I just want to thank the US Marshals for their tremendous help in this, my deputies out there who wouldn’t give up, and the citizen who called in the tip we needed,” Ravenell said. “I hope you all have a Merry Christmas.”
