Orangeburg, SC – Authorities in Orangeburg County say a sixth suspect has been arrested in connection with a deadly drive-by shooting that killed a 21-year-old man last month.

According to Sheriff Leroy Ravenell, 18-year-old Jatarius Penciel was taken into custody and charged with murder and criminal conspiracy in the November 17 shooting that left Kyree Walker, 21, dead.

“We’re continuing this investigation until anyone remotely associated with the case is locked up,” Ravenell said in a release. “We’re not finished with this investigation.”

Penciel joins five others already charged in the case. Anthony Fersner, 18; Tristan Mack, 19; Derron Holloway, 18; and Jaden Ferguson, 18, were previously charged with murder and conspiracy. Kamari Williams, 17, faces a murder charge as well.

The U.S. Marshals Service assisted in the search, offering manpower and rewards of up to $5,000 each for Fersner and Mack. Ravenell thanked the Marshals for their help in tracking down the suspects, adding, “They have been a tremendous help in finding these individuals.”

The investigation remains ongoing, and additional arrests are possible.
