Investigators said an argument between the suspect and the victim escalated when the suspect allegedly took the victim’s cellphone while the victim attempted to call 911. The victim reportedly retrieved a second phone and contacted emergency services from a bedroom. Deputies said the suspect allegedly attempted to damage the bedroom door before leaving the residence.

Walker, 30, of Verona, was arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated (misdemeanor); two counts of Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree (Class A misdemeanors); five counts of Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Third Degree (Class D felonies); and three counts of Criminal Possession of a Firearm (Class E felonies).
Walker was processed at the Oneida County Correctional Facility and later released after posting bail, officials said. An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
