When deputies arrived, they located an injured adult male who was suffering from burn injuries to his hands, face, and other areas of his body. The man was treated at the scene and then transported to Upstate University Hospital by AmCare Ambulance for further medical care. His current condition has not been released.
After firefighters extinguished the blaze, authorities discovered a deceased individual inside the residence, officials said. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and will be released at a later time.
