Clinton, NY – A Clinton woman was arrested Sunday night after an alleged domestic incident that deputies say involved children and alcohol impairment, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies from the Waterville Field Office responded to a residence in the Village of Clinton on December 29, 2025, following a report of a domestic disturbance. Upon investigation, authorities determined that the woman had engaged in a verbal argument with another individual that escalated into a physical altercation while children were present, the sheriff’s office stated.
According to Sheriff Robert Maciol, deputies later found the woman operating a motor vehicle back to the residence and noted signs of alcohol impairment. She was taken into custody and transported to the Kurt B. Wyman Law Enforcement Building for processing.
The suspect, identified by deputies as Nicole Beratta, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (unclassified misdemeanor), Harassment 2nd (violation), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (three counts, Class A misdemeanor).
Beratta was then transported to the Oneida County Jail, where she is being held pending arraignment in Oneida County Central Arraignment Court. Deputies said charges will be returnable to the Kirkland Town Court.
