Oneida County, NY – A registered sex offender from Oneida County was arrested this week after allegedly failing to meet state registration requirements, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Chief Deputy Derrick O’Meara, who directs the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center, announced the arrest of Patrick DeLong, 41, of Oneida County, on December 9, 2025. Deputies say DeLong failed to notify the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services of a change in address, as required under the NYS Sex Offender Registration Act (SORA).
According to investigators, Sgt. Melissa Bolton and Investigator Leonard Dillenbeck determined that DeLong had moved from his registered address in the Town of Lee to a new residence in the Town of Westmoreland in October 2025, without updating his address. The case began in November following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office and the Oneida County Probation Department.
DeLong was charged with Failure to Register Change of Address, a Class E Felony under New York Corrections Law. Deputies issued him an appearance ticket returnable to Whitestown Court at a later date.
Sgt. Bolton was assisted in the investigation by the Oneida County Probation Department, officials said.
