Omaha, NE – Eastern Nebraska and western Iowa will see a slight cooldown Sunday before rain returns early in the workweek, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Omaha/Valley. Highs on Sunday will reach the low to upper 50s under partly cloudy skies, keeping conditions comfortable and seasonably mild.

Overnight lows Sunday will fall into the 30s before a breezier pattern sets in on Monday. According to NWS, rain chances increase to 30–50% during the day Monday as a passing disturbance brings scattered showers across Omaha, Lincoln, Fremont, Council Bluffs, and surrounding areas. A few snowflakes could briefly mix in early Monday, particularly north of I-80, though precipitation is expected to remain primarily rain with no accumulation.

Tuesday and Wednesday trend mostly cloudy but dry, with highs in the low-to-mid 50s and overnight temperatures in the 30s. Light winds and stable conditions will dominate much of the midweek period.

Another round of unsettled weather arrives Thursday into Friday, with rain chances climbing to 20–40% across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Thursday appears to carry the highest potential for showers before precipitation gradually tapers off Friday afternoon.

No severe weather is expected with either system, though travelers may encounter wet roads and brief reductions in visibility during passing rain bands. Temperatures remain seasonable throughout the week, with daytime highs in the upper 40s to near 60 depending on the day.
