Tulsa, OK – October 2025 closed out as one of the warmest in recent memory across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, according to new data from the National Weather Service Tulsa.

Average highs in Tulsa (78.3°F) and Fort Smith (78.9°F) ran between 3–5°F above normal, while Fayetteville (75.7°F) also recorded a +4.8°F departure. The unseasonably warm pattern was consistent day-to-day, with mean temperatures staying well above the historical October averages.

According to the NWS report issued Friday morning, both Tulsa and Fort Smith logged above-normal rainfall totals, picking up 4.89″ and 5.03″ respectively — roughly an inch or more above their typical October averages. Fayetteville, however, came in much drier, measuring only 2.59″, about 1.5 inches below normal.

The highest temperatures of the month reached 91°F in both Tulsa and Fort Smith, with the lowest dipping into the low 30s near the end of the month.

Forecasters noted that October’s combination of persistent warmth and uneven rainfall reflected broader late-autumn trends seen across the southern Plains this year.

Residents are advised to stay alert for changing weather patterns as cooler conditions are expected to return in early November.
