Tulsa, OK – A warm, sunny stretch is returning to northeastern Oklahoma this week after Columbus Day showers move out early Monday. Residents can expect bright skies and near-summer highs through midweek, a welcome change for fall eventgoers and travelers hitting U.S. Highway 75 or I-44.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, scattered morning showers will give way to gradual clearing and temperatures climbing into the upper 70s by Monday afternoon. Tuesday and Wednesday bring full sunshine, lighter winds, and highs around 86 to 88 degrees—well above normal for mid-October. Drivers should stay alert for sun glare during morning commutes, especially on eastbound routes.

By Thursday, sunny skies continue with highs in the upper 80s, ideal for pumpkin patch visits or evening walks before temperatures begin a slow weekend dip. A mild breeze from the southeast will help keep air quality steady, and no major storm systems are expected through Friday.

Looking ahead, a slight chance of late-week thunderstorms may develop by Friday night, marking the start of a brief cool-down into the weekend. Saturday highs should settle near 83, followed by clearer, crisper air moving in Sunday with highs near 77.

This week offers one of the last warm spells before fall fully sets in—perfect timing for outdoor festivals and Halloween decorating.
