Tulsa, Oklahoma – Warm, dry, and trending hotter — that’s the story across eastern Oklahoma this week as Tulsa returns to sunshine and 90-degree heat with only a brief, low-end shot of rain Monday night. Most of the region will stay dry through Friday, September 12, with fire weather concerns creeping back in by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, a weak upper-level disturbance may spark a few isolated showers or storms Monday night into early Tuesday, but most of the rainfall is expected to remain north of Tulsa, closer to the Oklahoma-Kansas border.

Otherwise, skies will stay mostly sunny and temps will climb steadily. Highs will reach the upper 80s by Wednesday, with overnight lows in the low 60s. Winds will stay light and southerly, bringing in warm, dry air that pushes Tulsa well above early September averages.

NOAA’s 6–10 day outlook keeps the entire I-44 corridor in a below-normal precipitation zone, with continued warmth likely into next week. Conditions remain favorable for grassy area fires, especially in Osage, Creek, and Pawnee counties where recent rain has done little to suppress drying vegetation.
