Tulsa, OK — Severe storms are expected to impact northeast Oklahoma late Saturday evening into early Sunday morning, with the greatest risk concentrated in areas north of Interstate 44, including Tulsa, Bartlesville, and Miami.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, the most likely window for severe weather will be from 10 p.m. Saturday to 4 a.m. Sunday, with threats lingering until 7 a.m. The storms could produce hail up to golf ball size, wind gusts between 60 and 70 mph, and limited tornado potential. The northern portion of the region, especially along and north of I-44, faces a higher likelihood of seeing strong thunderstorms.

Residents in Tulsa County and neighboring areas are urged to remain alert overnight. Locations south of the I-44 corridor, including McAlester and Hugo, have a more conditional threat but are not entirely out of danger. The coverage of thunderstorms remains uncertain, but all modes of severe weather remain in play.

Authorities recommend securing outdoor objects, staying updated through weather radios or mobile alerts, and reviewing shelter plans. Additional storm activity is forecast Sunday, prompting extended vigilance throughout eastern Oklahoma.
