Tulsa, OK – Drivers across eastern Oklahoma should prepare for patchy fog Friday morning, October 3, before skies clear into a sunny weekend. The National Weather Service says visibility may drop to unsafe levels in valleys and near lakes, including along I-44. Motorists are advised to allow extra time and keep headlights on low beam during the early commute.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, fog could be locally dense after midnight Wednesday into Friday morning but should burn off quickly after sunrise. Sunshine will then dominate the first week of October, making it ideal for outdoor activities and early Halloween decorating.

Highs will stay warm, with temperatures in the upper 80s Friday through Sunday. Lows will remain mild, ranging from the mid-60s to upper 60s. Light winds from the south are expected, with occasional gusts reaching 15 to 20 mph this weekend.
