Oklahoma City, Oklahoma – Cool mornings and clear skies will give way to a steady warmup across Oklahoma City this week, with highs reaching the upper 80s by midweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Sunday will be mostly sunny with highs near 79, followed by a clear and mild night in the low 60s. Monday turns slightly warmer, with highs around 80 and light south winds returning.

By Tuesday, highs climb into the mid-80s, and by Wednesday through Friday, Oklahoma City will see plenty of sunshine with afternoon highs between 87 and 88. Nighttime lows will stay mild, ranging from the mid-60s to near 70.

Drivers along I-35, I-40, and the Kilpatrick Turnpike should expect excellent travel conditions throughout the week. No rain is in sight, and calm winds will keep visibility clear for early commuters.

Looking ahead, NOAA’s extended precipitation outlook keeps Oklahoma leaning drier than normal into mid-September. That trend may worsen already dry soils across central and western counties, raising concerns for fire danger later in the season.

For now, residents can expect a picture-perfect stretch of fall weather with cool mornings and warm, sunny afternoons lasting through next weekend.
