Tulsa, OK – A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect across eastern Oklahoma until 9 a.m. Friday, creating hazardous travel conditions for morning commuters. Drivers should use low-beam headlights, slow down, and allow extra distance between vehicles.
According to the National Weather Service Tulsa, visibility may drop to a quarter-mile or less in affected areas, including Tulsa, Muskogee, and McAlester. Rapidly changing conditions could lead to dangerous roadways, especially along I-44 and Highway 69.
Looking ahead, Friday afternoon brings slight chances of showers before clearing into a sunny and mild weekend. Saturday will see a high of 64°F, with light southeast winds, while Sunday warms to 70°F with clear skies.
The dry pattern continues into early next week, with Monday reaching 69°F under mostly sunny skies. However, stronger southerly winds will develop by midweek, increasing the potential for thunderstorms by Wednesday.
Drivers should remain cautious through Friday morning due to lingering fog and check for weather updates before heading out.
