Oklahoma City, OK – A Freeze Warning remains in effect across most of Oklahoma through 9 a.m. Monday, as temperatures plunge into the mid-20s, marking the coldest air of the season so far, according to the National Weather Service in Norman.

The warning covers nearly all of central, northern, and western Oklahoma, extending into portions of north Texas. Overnight lows are expected to fall to around 24°F, with some rural areas dipping even lower. Light northwest winds will make it feel closer to the upper teens.

The National Weather Service warns that exposed or vulnerable vegetation could be damaged, and uninsulated pipes may freeze. Residents are urged to wrap outdoor faucets, bring pets indoors, and cover tender plants overnight.

After the cold start, sunshine will return Monday with highs rebounding to near 49°F. A significant warm-up follows through midweek, with temperatures expected to reach the 70s by Wednesday and mid-70s by Thursday under mostly clear skies.
