Tulsa, OK – A Red Flag Warning remains in effect for northeast Oklahoma through 1 p.m. Wednesday due to very dry and windy conditions. The National Weather Service (NWS) warns of extreme fire danger, particularly in areas near Tulsa, Bartlesville, and Miami.

According to the NWS Tulsa, a cold front moving in Wednesday morning will bring gusty winds up to 45 mph, while relative humidity levels are expected to drop as low as 15%. Temperatures will remain warm, reaching the mid-80s Tuesday before cooling into the 50s and 60s Wednesday. The combination of strong winds, low humidity, and dry fuels increases the risk of rapid wildfire spread.

Officials urge residents to avoid outdoor burning and properly dispose of any materials that could spark a fire. Fire crews are on high alert, as conditions are expected to remain critical.

Northwest Arkansas and parts of eastern Oklahoma are also facing elevated fire weather risks. Residents are encouraged to stay updated through NWS Tulsa and local emergency management agencies.
