Logan County, OK – Authorities are searching for information regarding a fatal crash on Interstate 35 after a tire detached from a trailer and struck a passing vehicle, killing the driver.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the incident occurred around 2:44 p.m. on March 18 near Industrial Road in Logan County. A northbound trailer lost a tire, which then traveled into the southbound lanes, hitting a Jeep and fatally injuring its driver.
OHP is actively searching for the driver of the vehicle pulling the trailer at the time of the incident. Officials have not yet identified the individual responsible, and they are urging anyone with information to come forward.
Authorities are asking witnesses or anyone with knowledge of the trailer’s driver to contact the Central Regional Communications Center at 405-425-2323.
The investigation remains ongoing.
