Tulsa, OK – A Flood Watch remains in effect until 1 PM today for parts of western Arkansas and LeFlore County, Oklahoma. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches is possible, potentially causing flooding in low-lying areas and creeks.

According to the US National Weather Service in Tulsa, the Flood Watch highlights the need for residents to prepare for potential flooding and stay alert for warnings. Rain is expected to end by this afternoon, leading to a mostly cloudy day with temperatures reaching a high of 89°F.

The forecast for the rest of the week indicates gradually rising temperatures. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with a high of 93°F, while Thursday will see temperatures climb to 95°F under clear skies. By Friday, the high is expected to reach 97°F.

The weekend will bring even hotter conditions. Saturday’s high will be 98°F, and by Sunday, temperatures are forecasted to peak at 100°F, continuing into Monday. The heatwave will persist into early next week, with Tuesday’s high anticipated at 98°F.
