Oklahoma City, OK – Drivers and residents across central Oklahoma can expect a string of hot, mostly dry days as temperatures push into the 90s through early next week. Clear skies overnight will keep lows in the low 70s, offering little relief from the daytime heat.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, Friday will be the sunniest day of the stretch, with highs near 93 degrees and light south-southwest winds around 10 mph. Saturday brings more cloud cover, though conditions remain dry with highs close to 91.

By Sunday, skies turn partly sunny with temperatures settling just below 90, before heating back into the low 90s Monday. Winds remain steady out of the south, generally under 10 mph, keeping humidity levels elevated.

The dry pattern continues until midweek, when a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms returns late Wednesday into Thursday. Until then, officials advise staying hydrated and limiting time outdoors during peak afternoon heat, especially for those working outside.

Warm evenings in the low 70s will keep air conditioners running overnight, adding to energy demand across the Oklahoma City metro and surrounding towns including Norman, Edmond, and Moore.

Conditions stay steady through the start of next week, with the next meaningful change likely arriving by midweek.
