Oklahoma City Weather: Cool, Damp Start Gives Way to Sunshine Through Tuesday

Oklahoma City, Okla. – Early morning showers could dampen parts of central Oklahoma on Saturday, but conditions will quickly shift to sunny and mild by the afternoon, setting up several dry days ahead.

According to the National Weather Service in Norman, a 20 percent chance of overnight rain will taper off Saturday morning before skies clear. Highs will reach 75 degrees in Oklahoma City Saturday, with light northeast winds keeping the day cool compared to seasonal norms.

Sunday and Monday will bring sunshine across much of central Oklahoma, with highs near 80 in Edmond, Norman, and Midwest City. Skies will stay mostly clear at night, with overnight lows dipping into the upper 50s to lower 60s, a noticeable chill for early September.

Travelers can expect excellent driving conditions from Sunday into next week, with no major weather hazards. Residents are advised to make the most of the dry stretch, as daytime highs gradually climb into the mid-80s by Tuesday and mid-to-upper 80s by midweek.

Sunny skies remain in place through at least Friday, though NWS forecasters note temperatures will trend warmer, approaching 88 degrees by late week.
