Low clouds and misty air stretch across northeast Oklahoma early this morning, softening headlights and turning fields gray under a quiet sky. Visibility west of Highway 75 and north of Tulsa is dropping fast as a blanket of fog spreads into eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas.

According to the National Weather Service in Tulsa, patchy areas of dense fog could limit visibility to less than a quarter mile through early morning. Motorists are urged to slow down, use headlights, and allow extra braking distance, especially on I-44, US-69, and the Turner Turnpike, where pockets of fog may linger through midmorning.

Temperatures sit near 44°F, with calm winds that will shift northerly by afternoon. Conditions improve as drier air filters in, clearing skies for a cool but bright finish to the day. Monday brings full sunshine with highs near 46°F, followed by a strong warm-up Tuesday into the low 60s as southerly breezes return.

Forecasters say the warming trend continues through midweek, reaching the upper 50s by Wednesday before slightly cooler air slides back into the region late week. Long-range models hint at a broader cold surge from the Plains between December 11–17, possibly returning frost and early winter air to Oklahoma and surrounding states.

Five-Day Outlook (Tulsa, OK):
